Thin wall plastic tubing is commonly specified for medical device applications such as catheter tubing, catheter liners, and other precision medical components where dimensional consistency and material performance are critical. A.P. Extrusion also supports select non-medical applications, including fiber optic and electrical uses such as wire coatings and insulating sleeves, when requirements align with our core extrusion capabilities.
We manufacture thin wall tubing across a broad range of sizes, including diameters from approximately 0.004" to 0.500", with final dimensions and achievable tolerances dependent on material selection, geometry, and application requirements. Wall thicknesses as thin as 0.001 in. can be produced for select micro-extrusion applications, with tight dimensional control achieved through controlled processes and application-specific validation.
Tubing can be produced in customer-specified lengths, in clear, stock, or custom colors. Heat-stabilized formulations are available for applications that require tolerance to elevated temperature exposure, with material performance dependent on polymer type, wall thickness, and exposure conditions.
